A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - So Cool!

 

This month's Paper Pumpkin is super fun...called So Cool!!

Filled with bright colors and fun elements...makes for easy alternative card projects!

Starting with a quick rainbow card....using one of the large rainbows ..makes for a full size card.  Sponge a basic white post card with Pool Party Ink using the Blending Brushes.  Add a sun sticker and where are the stitched clouds from you may ask??

There is a great new set border dies coming up in the New Annual Catalog coming out May 4th called Basic Borders..... Super versatile!  

Next using some extra True Love DSP from the Occasions Catalog...cut a Watermelon card apart for a sweet melon card!!

The next four cards are a quick and easy pocket card.

This card layout can be used with ANY stamp set or elements...but is super perfect for the So Cool Paper Pumpkin!

Card measurements are as follows

Pocket Card: 

Pocket: 4 1/4 x 11 Score at 5 1/2 and 1 1/2 "

DSP : 2 1/2 x 4 1/8

Basic White Strip 1 1/4 x 4 1/8

Insert:

Soft Seafoam 3 7/8 x 5 1/4

Basic White 3 3/4 x 5 1/8

For the DSP on this pocket Card I used one of the included envelopes and cut out the liner!

Add a few Artistry Blooms Sequins with a rainbow popsicle and you are done!!

The next card used TWO watercolor popsicle pieced together...love these bright and fun colors!!  

And next using the same card layout....I used the True Love DSP.   Always LOVE the simple black and white patterns!   They go so well with these bright colors!

Add a few flowers from the retiring Confetti Flower Border Punch...get it while you can!!

Such a simple layout but such a great card!!

Now it is time to see what all the other talented demonstrators have come up with this kit.  The possibilities are endless!!

Saying goodbye is never easy...especially to some of our favorite Stampin' Up products.   So last week for my weekly Facebook Friday Live...I decided to dig into my box of never opened  products. 

Click here to watch! Now mind you...there are not many in this box.  I can resist stamping with everything...but I did find Grace's Garden.   And I think why I never pick it up...is I was intimadated...all the beautiful cards I had seen seemed like a lot of work! 

Well I couldn't have been more wrong....it is a beautiful set...easy to color and easy to cut!!

Starting with a base of Sahara Sand Cardstock and a simple layer of Balmy Blue CS and stamping directly onto Basic White with Memento Black Ink. Stamp a few extra plants and a kitty on scrap white. 

 And just start coloring with Stampin' Blends...no need to be careful and follow the lines...go for the watercolor look.  Start coloring with all the light blends....and then go back and fill in with a bit of "dark" highlights.  Makes coloring such detail "easy peasy!!"   Blends used were Granny Apple Green, Highland Heathers, Fresh Freesia (available May 4th) Polished Pink (available May 4th)and Balmy Blue.   The "grass hill" is just colored Granny Apple Green and the blue sky is softly sponged Balmy Blue with the Blending Brushes.   Watch the video for some easy blending hints!!

Dont forget the inside....

And now...let's make this a WOW card!!   Using the exact same card...same plants, kitty and layout....just add  the Garden Gate Die!   

Pop up the cut out plants and place them in front of the fence.

I guess I did add add a climbing rose to the arbor!

Creative Inking Blog Hop - Love Always!

Thank you for joining the Creative Inking Blog Hop!!  This month...just in time for wedding season which also is anniversary season too!!  Our theme is Love Always!   And in the New and Upcoming Annual 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog we have a lovely new Suite called Elegantly Said.   This Suite includes  the Elegantly Said Bundle...Stamp Set & Punch and stunning Specialty Designer Series Paper...which is foiled with copper, silver and gold!!

Check out this gorgeous DSP...the photos don't do it justice..!!

And here is my card....a simple flap card...but i choose to make the flap a bit more decorative using the Elegant Tag Punch for the end of the flap.

Layered in Very Vanilla, Basic Gary and Basic Black .

And although they are  not part of the Suite...there are two new products...Smokey Slate Textured Ribbon and Silver & Clear Epoxy Embellishments.  Both are perfect accents for this Anniversary Card.

Maui Achiever's Blog Hop - Hand Penned Butterfly Bouquet

 

Thank you for joining the Maui Trip Achiever's Blog Hop!  You are here at Water City Stamping!   This month I have chosen to showcase our beautiful Butterfly Bouquet.   This is a brand new bundle coming up in the New Annual catalog coming out on May 4th.  The special included Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper...while supplies last...unfortunately it did sell out ...so I wanted to show you 3 samples that showcase this bundle beautifully with a different Brand New  Designer Series Paper called Hand Penned!!   Perfect for a lovely butterfly garden!1  And here we go...

Here is a sweet fun fold...using the New In Color ..Pale Papaya and the soft floral of the Hand Penned designer Series Paper. 

The largest butterfly from the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle is STUNNING colored in with the Night of Navy and Pale Papaya Stampin blends!!   make sure to use your color lifter to really get that highlighted look!!   I LOVE the coordinating In Color Open Weave Ribbon in Pale Papaya !!   Makes matching sooo easy!!  

Next is a darling window card.....highlighting the Fresh Freesia In Color!!   The Hand Penned DSP once again...perfect for a cone flower butterfly garden!!

The butterfly was colored with Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Pool Party Stampin Blends!!   Once again...don't forget the Color Lifter!!!  

And finally...Blushing Bride with Pale Papaya!!   Such a beautiful color combination.  This Hand Penned Designer Series Paper is loaded with wonderful , soft colors!!  

These butterflies were created by sponging on the butterflies outlines cut out with  Pearlescent Specialty Paper currently found in the Occasion's Catalog...but it will be carrying into the New Annual catalog!!  Woohoo!!  

 

Notice all the lovely little jewels...they are the New In Colors Jewels.  All the New products will be available in the New 2021 - 2022 Stampin Up catalog available May 4th!!

There are sooo many beautiful new products in the Upcoming Catalog!!   Can't wait to share them all with you!!
