My Alaskan Card Swaps

Anytime Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators get together….we always swap cards….this is no different on the Stampin’ Up! Alaskan Cruise….we have a card swap!!  There is a card swap and a 3-D swap…it is optional…but I have never missed one.  I can’t resist a card swap!!   So today I am going to share the card I have made for the swap.

Here is my card swap….

Made using the Serene Garden Bundle….cardstock used Mossy Meadow, Basic Black and Whisper White.  Stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Old Olive,Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.

Notice the close up…..using the new Embossing Mats and the Garden Scene Framelits…..you can make this beautiful embossed background!   Love it!!

We make 26 of each and get 25 back!!

Such a pretty card…..can be used for any Occasion!!

Alaskan Achiever’s Blog Hop! New Holiday Catalog!

Hello Stampers!!
And welcome to our Alaskan Achievers Blog hop for August 2018!  This month we are showcasing either highlights from our Stampin’ Up! cruise to Alaska and / or products from the upcoming, fabulous Holiday Catalog.
I have chosen to do a little of both!
We had a wonderful time on our Stampin’ Up! Alaskan Cruise!  We always took our kids on Stampin’ Up! cruises when they were little…..but then they became busy with school and sports…and finally they grew up, graduated college and now they are available to join us again!  So this was the first time we  were able to take our adult children on a Stampin’ Up! cruise.   This time my daughter Anna and her fiancé Randy joined us!   What a great time we had!

and relaxing evenings…


 Of course we had stamping and demonstrations…..


And always a Stampin ‘ Up! trip favorite….are the PILLOW GIFTS!   Each night when we come back to our room, there is always a lovely gift from Stampin’ Up! on our bed.   We are super spoiled!!!
Here are all the gifts we received this year….


So onto my card sample……this come from the All is Bright Suite from the new Holiday Catalog!  It is one of the wonderful pillow gifts we received called Merry Christmas to All Bundle.


And here is my card….a fun fold!

Super easy card with a flap.  The background Designer Paper is another of our gifts ….called All is Bright!   One side has beautiful photographed Christmas images and the other side is versatile neutral backgrounds.


The “Merry” is just one of four phrase framelits in this bundle.  There is also “Happy, Holidays,and Christmas”   and then the stamp set has a multitude of phrases to match the greetings.  The possibilities are endless!! All are perfect for the front of this card.

And here is the inside!!   This card is nice and thin…when you have to make a “bunch”!   And you don’t ever have to worry about postage with this one!

Creative Inking Blog Hop! Sketch Challenge

Welcome to our Creative Inking August Blog Hop!   This month we are having a sketch challenge….and here is our sketch we are to follow.

And here is my card!

I decided to showcase a card from our New Holiday Catalog ….which is coming out in September!!!

I am using a beautiful new Designer Paper called Joyous Noel combined with Merry Merlot Cardstock.  It is stunning…highlighted with cooper foil accents!!   So pretty!  And check out the ribbon!!  Oh my gosh!!!  It is Merry Merlot & Copper Reversible Ribbon!  

Continuing  on a lighthearted note with a “Rudolph” on my oval.  This reindeer is some adorable punch art made from the brand new Christmas Bulb Builder  Punch and the brand new Sprig Punch from the Joyous Noel Suite.  Both punches we received from Stampin Up! on our Alaskan Cruise. 

This little guy is super quick punch art!   His nose…one of our basic gems colored with Cheery Cobbler Stampin’ Blends.

And don’t forget the inside!!!   The sentiments both come from Peaceful Noel….again from the Joyous Noel Suite!!    So much to look forward to!

Twinkle,Twinkle….Creative Inking Blog Hop

This months Creative Inking Blog Hop is all about our wonderful Designer Papers!!   Our DSP selections are the best ever!!   So many beautiful papers to choose from!!!

So I decided to showcase the adorable Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper.

Combined with the all the wonderful products from the Twinkle Twinkle Suite….I created a card for my nephew whose is getting married this weekend.   A wedding card?????   From a baby themed bundle….You Bet!!!

And here it is…

I layered the gorgeous…”can’t get enough of”….navy starry sky paper onto Whisper White and then on a Night of Navy card base.   I cut a circle using the Big Shot and the Layering Circles Framelits.  Still using the Layering Circles…I cut out a frame from our Sparkle Glimmer Paper.  That gets adhered to the front of the circle which was cut out.  Using our Silver Metallic Thread adhered under the DSP add a So Saffron Moon and Sparkle Glimmer Paper Stars onto he front and back of the thread.  They are punched from the Twinkle Builder Punch.   This makes a super cute card with alot of movement.

The moon and stars suspend like a mobile.

Add some Twinkle Adhesive Backed Sequins to give your card a touch of sparkle.

And finally the greetings…which come from The Little Twinkle Stamp Set.   The stamp set and the punch are sold in a bundle called Little Twinkle!!!!

And finally add the greeting on the inside and you have a lovely card perfect for their wedding!!

Super sweet and so unique!!  I love this paper!!

Tropical Delight!!

Here is a perfect summer card we recently made at my last Stamp a Stack!  Using one of my favorite Designer paper Packs…Tropical Escape makes a perfect background for our new Pop of Petals Stamp Set and Four Petal Flower Punch Bundle.

It is an easy fun fold….fold your card base in half…..and cut 1 1/4 inch off the edge.  Use that piece you just cut off…for the folded arm flap and layer your greeting on top.  Tuck that flap behind the white post card and swing it out to the front of the card. 

The card is then held closed by one of the four petal flowers…which were stamped in Flirty Flamingo.

Here are a couple more views…..the flowers are punched and the leaves stamped in Granny Apple Green are fussy cut!




Easy Peezy and cute!!   Can’t beat it!!

Another Walk on the Wild Side!!

Here is another sample we made at Stamp Club this month using the Animal Expedition Suite!   This suite is just so darn cute!!  It is the same suite I used on the previous post.


And I love this fold….. Z Fold Double Easel.  I saw this type of fold from Patty Bennet and thought it would be perfect with the Alligators from the Animal expedition DSP!! 

Super easy!!  Measurements are..
Main Card (Lemon Lime Twist)  4 1/4 x 11 “
Folded Card (Call Me Clover) 4 x 10 1/2 …just fold in half and fold one side in half again!   Z Fold!
Animal expedition chevron DSP 3 3/4 x 5 “ and alligator DSP is 3 3/4 x 2 5/8 “

Again I used that awesome Leaf Ribbon as in the previous post! Mini flower comes from the retired Stampin’ Up! Tree Builder Punch.

Love those sassy ‘gators!!
