Thailand Achiever’s Blog Hop / Holiday Catalog!

Well this is it!!  Our final Thailand Achiever’s Blog Hop.  We enjoyed our lovely trip to Thailand this past July.  And now our Stampin’ Up ! year will begin again Oct 1st.  But don’t worry….This awesome Blog Hop will be continuing in October as the Alaska Achiever’s Blog Hop!!   So welcome to the last Thailand achievers Hop ….it will be great!

For my blog post,we could choose anything from the Holiday Catalog.  What to choose????  There are sooo many wonderful stamps and products.  But I decided to go with a favorite of mine….Painted Harvest.   I love a good sunflower and this one is a beauty!!
This is a super easy, two step stamping set that is very forgiving……just stamp away…no careful lining up!!

An extra addition I added to make the sunflowers have some texture is to add our new Embossing Paste colored with a chocolate chip reinker!

Just add some paste onto a silcone mat with a paste tool.  (Looks like frosting!!)  Add a couple drops of reinker, mix and place onto the center of the flower.  Easy as that!! It may not show well in pictures….but you have got to try it!!!  It adds wonderful texture to your card!!

HINT!!   Make sure to wash your mat and tools soon after using, as it does dry quite quickly!

And finally….when I made this card, I found this darling little copper pumpkins at the Dollar Tree.
So I added a tag with some copper trim.  Wouldn't this be perfect for a Thanksgiving place setting??

So I hope you enjoyed my creations!  Now it is time to hop onto the next site to see more wonderful Holiday Catalog ideas!!!

Until next time……

Grand Vacation Achiever's Blog Hop….New Catalog Sneak Peeks!!

Confession time….I have not been faithful to my blog lately…hmmm…well I thought this is a great time to “hop” back to it…so to speak!!  Our New Stampin’ Up! 2017-2018 is only days away from its release …June 1st to be exact….but we as Demonstrators got to order  a few things early and give you a sneak peak of what is to come.  Boy oh boy!!!  You are going to LOVE this new catalog!  My wish list is just wayyyyy too long!  So here are just a few of my favorites…remember this is only a sneak peek…there is so much more to come!!
My first favorite of course is the Daisy Delight Stamp Set, bundles with the Daisy Punch….a must have!!  It coordinates with the most Beautiful Designer Paper , Delightful Daisy  as well as the Faceted Gems which are also part of this Delightful Daisy Suite!  Check it out….
Such a sweet and simple card…my kind of card!!  Notice the pretty little Faceted Gems…they are new and come in clear and gold….but I used copper foil paper so I colored my clear gem in with a brown sharpie marker and Viola!! behold a copper faceted gem!!
So I love this Delightful daisy so much…I continued on with another New Stamp Set….This Little Piggy…isn’t he cute?

I did a little fussy cutting…taking one of the daisies from the DSP for the little piggy to hold and I cut the little piggy himself out from Shimmery White Cardstock after water coloring him in with a New InColor Powder Pink!  Shimmery White is my favorite for any kind of water coloring…it just blends and flows…love it!!  Notice the background Designer Paper…another Sneak Peek called Wood Textures Designer Paper Stack…I can’t get enough of that DSP!!

And finally my last sample for the day…came right from the New Catalog… I just held a DIVA DAY for brand new Stampin Up! Demonstrators that have joined my Group along with their uplines.  This is a fabulous Day of Stamping and Pampering with along with lovely lunch.  In the afternoon we always do a “big” project and this time they got to make an awesome Delightful Daisy Bouquet …that I ‘CASED” from the catalog!

So cute!!  And notice…the Faceted Gems on Clear and Delightful Daisy DSP wrapped around the jar…held in place by Crushed Curry Ribbon.

Here is a close up of the Daisies and the Faceted Gems!
Well that's it for me…I hope you enjoyed my portion of the Sneak Peek Blog Hop from the Grand Vacation Achievers Group.  Check out the all the talented demonstrators on this hop!!  You wont be disappointed!

And if you would like your own copy of our New 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Catalog…just email me and I will pop one in the mail for you!  You will love it!!  Happy Hopping!!

until next time…..
Take care and Happy Stampin!!

Oh So Succulent - Global Design Project #076

This week, I have decided to play along with the Global Design Project and we are casing Kylie Bertucci for this weeks “Case the Designer” Global Design Project #gdp076.  CASE means “Copy and Selectively Edit” Here is Kylie’s lovely creation…

And here is mine…..I decided to use her card layout.
Using the Floral Boutique Designer Paper is the perfect backdrop for my flower creation from the Succulent Framelit Dies.  These framelits are not only for making awesome succulents…they make a great flower too!!
I just love a good navy/pink combo…so Night Of Navy with Flirty Flamingo were easy color choices for me.  Don’t forget to sponge the petal edges to give more texture and depth.

And as always …don’t neglect the inside of your card!!

until next time…..take care and happy stamping!!
