By The Bay

🎵🎵Down by the bay....where the watermelons grow....🎵🎵🎵  Every time I use the By The Bay Stamp Set...this song pops in my head!!   I do love this stamp!!

Although it may look intimidating to color...it was actually quite quick when you use the Stampin' Blends!  Thet make my "artistic" life so easy!  Add a row of seagulls in Sahara Sand from the stamp set....the flying gulls are from The High Tide Stamp Set.   But they fit with this scene so perfectly!

And finally the sentiment is so fitting ...we are always happy when by the shore!

Best Bunny!!

Layered on Grapefruit Grove and Calypso Coral Cardstock.   It is the perfect base the the black and white gingham from the FREE Saleabration paper Botanical Butterflies!!

Stamp the bunny and color in with the Smokey Slate , Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. Punch him out with the coordinating Bunny Builder Punch.

Finish with some Calypso Coral Shimmery Ribbon....I just LOVE how everything from Stampin' Up! coordinates...don't you??!!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing - Grown With Kindness

Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop for February!!

I am so excited to be joining this wonderful, talented group of stampers to share alternate ideas each month for Paper Pumpkin!!  This month we are going to showcase the February Kit...Grown With Kindness.   Love! Love! Love!!

Here is the kit as it was created by Stampin' Up!

And here are my alternative projects.....

 Using the original card base....I layered Old Olive, Basic Black and Whisper White.  I then colored the succulents in with Old Olive and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends.

A quick little layering on the inside of the card.....

And a bit of paper piecing for the teacup using the Botanical Butterfly Saleabration DSP.

  

Next I have another card using the black and white striped pattern from one of the card base from the kit.

Just score the card at 1 1/4"  on the left side and adhere in place.  Add some Pool Party Shimmery Ribbon. 

Color the succulent teacup again with the Stampin' Blends, Pool Party, Old Olive and Crumb Cake...add some gems from the kit and well as the sentiments.

And always finish the inside of the card!!

And finally...here is a 3-D project ...

Isn't this box just darling?  Perfect for a small gift!!!  Made with Basic Black Cardstock.

Add 1/2" strips from the black and white cardstock base around the box....can you tell I love that card base??

Finish the box with the stunning photograph DSP , layer with Seafoam Green Cardstock and tie off with  Pear Pizzazz Shimmery Ribbon.

Creative Inking Blog Hop - Celebrating Saleabration

Welcome to our Creative Inking Blog Hop!!  This month we are Celebrating Saleabration!!

And I have choose to highlight the Home To Roost Stamp Set.  This set is FREE with a $50 order!!

Just a simple card with a country flair.   

Starting with a Soft Suede card base...layered with Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler.   And that fancy little rooster is colored with Night of Navy, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral. and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.

 The barn wood background is made with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Folder.  Now to get that nice wooden texture...take your Soft Suede and ink the raised side of the folder.

Place the Crumb cake cardstock on  the inked side and roll through the Big Shot.

And there you have it ....a rustic, wooden background which is perfect for a country rooster card.

Isn't he handsome!!

Greek Trip Achievers’ Blog Hop Occasions Catalog Flowering Desert

Welcome to our Greek Isles Trip Achievers Blog for February!!  Our theme is anything from the Occasions or Saleabration Catalogs.   I choose a lovely stamp set from the Occasions Catalog called Flowering Desert.  Being from Wisconsin and having snow storms every other day a girl can dream about the desert and a little warmth right?
So here is my card....

Starting with a Petal Pink cardstock base....layer with Soft Sea Foam and Very Vanilla Cardstock.

Coordinating ink pad colors are Soft Sea Foam, Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, and Crumb Cake.

Notice the bitty Flower on the cactus....that comes from the Gingham Gala Sequins with are FREE from me when you purchase $40 or more using the February Host Code!  WooHoo!!

  
My favorite part of the card is the inside...that cutie bitty cactus petal with a bloom on top...how sweet!!
