Trip Achiever's Blog Hop - Flowering Fields

Hello Stampers!!

Welcome to the Trip Achiever's Blog Hop for April! And thank you for stopping by here at Water City Stamping.

Today I am showing you a recent project from one of my Classes To Go!

It is a lovely gift in a pocket card in the Flowering Fields DSP...for video directions...

Shown here in Highland Heather Cardstock and Flowering Fields DSP....create a pocket (directions will be found below)

Add some Gorgeous Grape Ribbon around the pocket to hold it in place

On the insert card made from Gorgeous Grape is where you can add your small gift....instead of a seed packet I chose to add these lovely seeded handmade paper hearts/ butterflies. Then you recipient can plant the butterfly and watch beautiful annuals and perennials grow!! ( I purchased these on Amazon)

Placed in a Clear Envelope to protect it ...add a pull tab to the top and the Flowering Fields DSP behind it.

Just glue dot it to the sentiment card for easy removal

And here is the same card in the Pool Party / Petal Pink CS combo.

These Poppy Parade Tulips with the Sky / Clouds DSP layers are just stunning!!

And the seeded paper also comes in heart shapes.

This is such a lovely gift for Mother's Day, Bridal Shower thank yous...any kind of remembrance ...this is such a lovely touch!

Supplies and Measurements:

• Highland Heather or Pool Party 5 1/2 x 8 1/2

• Gorgeous Grape or Petal Pink 4 1/2 x 3 3/4

• Basic White 4 1/4 x 3 1/2

• DSP (2) 2 x 5 1/4

• DSP 1 x 5 1/4 (for fold over)

• DSP for pull out card 4 x 3

• DSP 1x 2 for Pull Tab

• Flowering Tulips Stamp Set

• Gorgeous Grape and Pool Party Sheer Ribbon

Directions: Please refer to video for assembly and directions

1. Score main card at 1 1 /4 and 4 1/4 ...Fold

2. Adhere DSP as shown

3. Tie Ribbon around folded card

4.Adhere seed heart or butterfly to DSP and place in Clear Envelope. Add pull tab....add hearts circle, buttons embellishments of your choice(not included)

5. Stamp Greeting on Basic White and adhere to coordinating CS piece

6. Add Clear Envelope with one Glue Dot

Now it is time to see what the other fabulous demonstrators have created!!

Last Minute Easter Treats!!

Are you looking for a last minute Easter Treat idea?? Well I have some adorable ones for you!!

Last week we had our Water City Stampers monthly Team gathering. And each month we have a Creative Challenge. It is an optional challenge but anyone who participates gets their name in a drawing and the winner will get a $10 Splash Cash to spend in the catalog!!

This month the challenge was to create an Easter 3-D item...and of course my talented team did met the challenge. Here are some of the darling ideas!!

This adorable basket of bunnies and carrots came from Teamie...Cathy Ballard!

How sweet!!!

Next Pamela Leahy shared this sweet treat box and coordinating card!!

These chicks are just too much!!!

with their little chubby cheeks!!

And the coordinating tag adds a finishing touch!

Next Betsy Guthu made these Easter Friends rings...they can be egg holders, napkin rings or treat holders...so cute!!

And finally Linda Jordan shared TWO ideas with us!!

First in Easter purple...Fresh Freesia a sweet treat holder...the colors are so pretty and soft.

And then this darling wreath which can be at everyone's place setting at the Easter table and they can take it home as a lovely memory! So pretty!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Beyond The Horizon

Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. This hop features "alternative projects" each month for Paper Pumpkin. Here are all the fabulous elements in this months kit....

And here are my projects for March's Pumpkin ...Beyond The Horizon.!

Immediately when I saw this kit...I had a totally different idea for some of the die cut pieces.

Starting with the green grasses....I turned them around and colored them on the white side using my Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Stampin Blends. The background DSP was created from the lined envelopes . And finally using the Cactus Punch....I added the swirled die cut to a leftover piece of the envelope DSP and punched a flower pot!!

A Dragon Fly is punched from a dotted banner from the kit adds the perfect touch and don't forget the included Faceted Gems!!

Continuing on the same line....I took the 2 leaf die cuts...again turned them to the white side....only this time I used my Blending Brushes and my Granny Apple Green Stamp Pad and colored them using this fresh green. Adhere them to the card and color the white spaces with a Light Granny Apple Green Stampin Blend.

Bring out the Cactus Punch again...and punch out the flowers with the polka dot banner included in the kit. ...each Flower gets a gem for a bit of sparkle. Again ...take an envelope and create the DSP background.

Stampin' Up! Trip Achievers Blog Hop - On The Horizon!

Hello Stampers!!

Today I wanted to share with you a card from my last Class To Go....On The Horizon!

Have you ever wanted make a Slim Line Card using our 6x 6 Designer Series Paper...well here is a way to do just that using the New Horizons DSP!

Just cut your DSP vertically...3 x 6 and adhere DSP to the top part of your card.

Cut another piece of the DSP from the 2nd piece of DSP that will match your card.

That piece is 3 x 1 3/4" Adhere to the bottom of the card. There will be about a 1/4 gap....just make a banner to cover the gap!! Woohoo and you have a slimline card made with 6 x6 DSP!!

Here is another beautiful scenic card where the gap is perfectly acceptable!! The water just looks continuous!! These scenic cards are just perfect for this technique!! For more details to make these cards....watch my

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Kisses and Hugs

I just love the January Paper Pumpkin - Kisses and Hugs! First of ...the Pinks and Gold combo "had me at Hello!!" And then Heart with stripes...polka dots and more...swoon!

So my Alternative Projects start with a fold out card with a belly band.

I added a background using the Simply Marbelous Designer Series Paper from Saleabration....perfect for the color combination form the Pumpkin.

One heart folds out to the left and the other heart fold out to the right

Only to reveal the center for your notes and thought of love!

Here is another using the Blushing Bride Hearts...along with the other side of the Simply Marbleous Flirty Flamingo side of the DSP

The belly band hold the hearts together...embellished with the elements from the Paper Pumpkin Kit

Open to the Kisses and Hugs!

Only to reveal that wonderful DSP...perfect for a picture or a sentiment!

Next here is a regular size card....using those lovely large hearts!!

This time using the included envelopes ....the inside of the envelope was used for the adorable XOXO background of the card!

Just a bit a Gold Cord...and you are done!! Simple and lovely!

And if you remember a couple of weeks ago...I added our Gold Gilding to the Simply Marbleous DSP...you can see it ...HERE! This gilded DSP is PERFECT for the Kisses and Hugs cards!!

A tag and Gold Cord and you are done!
