A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Hugs From Shelli

Welcome to our blog hop called A Paper Pumpkin Thing!   This hop is a place where we show alternative projects for Stampin' Up!'s Paper Pumpkin.  This month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit, aptly named Hugs From Shelli, was inspired by Shelli Gardner, the co-founder of Stampin’ Up! These are the cards that could be created by following the directions in the kit.

The Paper Pumpkin Kit included the Hugs from Shelli stamp set and a Stampin’ Spot ink pad and all of the items featured below.

And here are my alternative projects....

First...I always like a full sized card...so with the addition of a Pool Party card base and a bit of the brand new and oh so lovely Pretty Peacock cardstock...I made a full sized latch card.  The tags included in the kit are the perfect size for an attached latch.

Everything else from the card comes from the kit....such lovely elements in this kit!!

And here is the open "latch fold" ...gives this card a bit of interest, don't you think!!??

And here is coordinating small gift bag I made with one of the included envelopes.   This expanded envelope is called a "bag-a-lope".  Makes a darling gift bag...perfect for a treat and a gift card!  And that pretty blue tissue is what the kit is wrapped in each month...perfect for the bag!!

Once again...the elements in the kit are stunning!!

Here is another card...made full sized....I just LOVE this pattern of paper!!!  Again...it is a latch card...super simple layout.

And here is the coordinating gift bag...made from the envelope!!  And the pretty pink tissue paper came from the kit too!!

So Sweet!!

Creative Inking Blog Hop - Good Bye Forever!

My cards has several items that I will truly miss! 

Beginning with the super popular Humming Along Bundle.  This set features a darling hummingbird along with this beautiful hibiscus!!  The images are just perfect to color with the Stampin' Blends.  For this flower I used Real Red, Mango Melody and Soft Seafoam Stampin' Blends.

Another products that will be "gone forever" is the versatile Tropical Escape Designer Paper.  Just perfect for this tropical flower.

And finally the inside of this double Z Fold card....instead of using more designer paper...I used the Florentine Framelit.  (unfortunately this has since sold out...truly gone forever :( 

Here is the same card...with a different pattern from the Tropical Escape DSP....with this paper...any of the patterns would work great!

This card is perfect for any occasion....birthday, thinking of you...etc!

Stampin' Blends used in this card were Calypso Coral , Mango Melody, Soft Seafoam and Granny Apple Green.

This stamp set comes from the Everything Is Rosy Product Medley.  And I think it is stunning.   I love using it with the products from the Medley...but I also love creating my own projects with it too!!

This color combo lends itself perfectly for this stamp set....the Gorgeous Grape Striped Ribbon fits right in!  And did you notice the new punch...called Timeless Label!  Coming in the New Catalog June 4th...I know this will soon be a favorite of mine!!

Happiness Blooms

The Retiring List has a few more weeks to go before our favorites are gone forever!!   So for the next couple of weeks I will be showcasing some of my favorite sets that soon will be retired.   One of my favorites is Bloom By Bloom!

I made this card for a color challenge ....the colors we had to use were Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch. (I won the Color Challenge with this card by the way!!!  Yay!!)
