A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Poppin' Birthday!!

 

 Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop for March!!

I am so excited to be joining this wonderful, talented group of stampers to share alternate ideas each month for Paper Pumpkin!!  This month we are going to showcase the March kit.....Poppin' Birthday!!   So darn cute!!

Here is the kit as it was created by Stampin' Up!

And here are my alternative projects....  This Paper Pumpkin Kit can be used for birthdays for  any age!!!

Additional supplies used for this card are Bermuda Bay, Basic Black and Whisper White Cardstock...along with  Black Memento Ink and a few Gingham Gala Sequins makes for a simple , sweet birthday card....

Which will coordinate  with a Frosted White Gable Box tied up with Bermuda Bay Ribbon.  Punches used were the Starburst and 2" Circle Punch.   Perfect card and gift box for a 90th Birthday Celebration!

Now for a Sweet 16 Celebration!! 

Once again I used Bermuda Bay and Whisper White Cardstock....along with the Starburst and 2" Circle Punches.    The Pink Starburst was punched from the inside of one the pop up cards.  Tied with All My Love Ribbon from the Occasions Catalog.  I just love the coordinating envelopes....perfect!!

For the inside of the card I used the popup cake...but added all 16 candles for the Birthday Girl.

Here is a coordinating altered Frosted Gable Box  made into a sweet tool box filled with yummy candy ...perfect for tucking in a gift card too!!  

And to finish the gift...how about a blue raspberry soda!!

I think that would make any sixteen year old feel special!!

Painted Seasons...Revisited

Remember this card I posted just a few days ago....

well here it is revisited....same card....but instead of using the Painted Seasons Designer Paper....I took out the Botanical Butterflies Designer paper from Saleabration.

 I just LOVE how this DSP is suited with the Painted Seasons Stamp Set!

Layered is Soft Seafoam Cardstock...the Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime Twist is perfectly matched.  Just another fun way to do the same card...yet make it look totally different.

And finally here was my blog writing helper tonight!!!   Marla insisted I post her pic...she's so sweet..."crunchy" ear and all!!

By The Bay

Down By The Bay has to be one of my favorites during Saleabration!!  And I love this card....so tranquil....

Using the Seaside Folder reversed makes for a lovely soft wave like background in Pool Party Cardstock layered on Sahara Sand Cardstock.

Using the Aqua Painter and Water Color Paper....color with Soft Suede, Balmy Blue and Pool Party ink pads.  Layer with a strip of Balmy Blue Cardstock.  Tie off with a piece of the Linen Braided Trim.   Add a greeting from the stamp set.

Finish the inside with the shell stamp water colored and some kind words.

Tea Together!! Last Week For Saleabration!

Painted Seasons Pretty!!

Can you tell I love the Painted Seasons Stamp Set?  This is the second post in two days using this lovely set!!

I used Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight Ink....

to create this simple yet beautiful cards!!  But I can't take the credit....it is all in the stamp set!!

Creative Inking Blog Hop / Saleabration Coordination!

Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop!  Our theme this month is the super popular products from Stampin' Up!'s Saleabration Coordination!   These products were developed to coordinate with some of the awesome stamp sets from this years Saleabration.  I choose to highlight two products ....our Four Seasons Framelits which coordinate with the Painted Seasons Bundle (Painted Seasons Stamp Set and Designer Series Paper...FREE with a $100 merchandise purchase) and More Than Words Stamp Set.

Using the Painted Seasons DSP as a background for my card, I then used the beautiful, "Distinktive" floral & leaf stamps in Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green from the Painted Seasons Stamp Set. One flower/leaf combination was cut from the Four Seasons Framelits.    These colors matched the Pool Party patterned DSP perfectly!

The sentiments come from the very versatile set...More Than Words Stamp Set....which is a Saleabration Coordination item.

Continuing on...don't forget to decorate to inside of your card!!! Finish with sentiments for the inside of your card...add a strip of the DSP and cut another flower & leaf combo from the Four Seasons Framelits.

The cool thing about these framelits is that there is more than on leaf framelit!!  Woohoo!!  There are also 2 fern and 3 small leaf framelits!!  When creating floral cards...we ALWAYS need more than one leaf...this is truly a genius time saver!!

Here is the same card...just using different words from the Part Of My Story Stamp Set (FREE Saleabration Set) and  the More Than Words Stamp Set.

  There are so many greeting combinations to use for a variety of occasions!!  

 I sent this card to my daughter who recently started a new job, is planning a wedding and bought a house...all in the last couple months!!

We use this saying in our house ALL the time right now....."BECAUSE ADULTING IS HARD!"  LOL!!
